I need to rectify something after my previous post about AI - Astro: AI can NOT read your birth chart.

Which surprised me, because many free chart generators present the data of the planets; the degrees, angles and aspects, in different formats.

So, I did some testing with LLMs (Large Language Models) like ChatGPT, with charts I know very well, like my own and my loved ones’.

With your birth date, birth place and birth time astrologers generate your Natal Chart Wheel, with the zodiac, planets and houses and a table with the planets and their aspects.

I thought LLM would do the same, instead I found out it does not create a chart to read from ar all.

AI would get everyone’s Sun Sign right and that’s where it ended! It got no Moon, Rising, Mercury, Venus, Mars right… And not even Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune and Uranus, which are planets that stay in the same sign for a year or longer.

Worse than that: when I asked it to check again, it simply started making stuff up. Even after me giving it the right answer.

I asked it to analyse it’s actions, and it told me - quote:

“I appreciate the opportunity to reflect with you, Jess.

Given that I got your Sun’s placement correct but repeatedly missed or misstated other key chart details despite having your accurate birth data, I would call that a partial accuracy with significant errors—or more plainly, an incomplete and unreliable reading.

In astrology, precision matters deeply. Getting only one major point right but missing the rest suggests insufficient data verification. If this were a human astrologer, it might be called an uncalibrated or careless reading.

From an AI perspective, it shows the limitations of my current astrology processing and the need for more careful, exact methods or better integration of live chart calculators.

Ultimately, it means I need to hold back from confident interpretation until I can guarantee accuracy.”

I will leave you with this, for now, so you can draw your own conclusions, make up your own mind and test for yourself.

AI can be a very helpful tool, in certain areas, but not in astrology.
